Facebook Schmacebook - an unreliable single sign-on platform

Facebook is growing up, and fast. It has transformed itself into a behemoth that can haphazardly dish out account cancelations and suspensions without recourse or redress for silly and sometimes valid reasons. We made them like that. first let us think a bit about Facebook and what it actually is:

  1. It is a public forum to connect people publicly.
  2. It used to be a public forum for free speech, an advocate for social change and people used it to do a lot of good.
  3. Some other people used and still use it to do bad things to others.
  4. Being a large Wall Street firm they had to comply to a different set of rules and regulations to satisfy their new entity and, by rights, it is their right to do so.
  5. Facebook is now, and has always been, monitored by EVERYONE from North Korea to the US government, I mean EVERYONE.

So, if you say anything on Facebook be sure that it will be recorded and someone will take note of your activity and possibly flag your account and follow you.

Facebook has this seemingly haphazard way to disable, delete and remove accounts without redress. This is done, it seems,  to protect itself, its investors and Wall Street.

What this means is that Facebook has become, and has always been, a world city center or town crier, if you want to keep you private life private - DON'T post it on Facebook simply don't.

They own the servers and have a group of people in God knows where that monitor everything and dish out punishment at will. Privacy rules vary from one place to another and respect for human rights, for example, is not universal.

Now comes the most critical issue with this set of rules that Facebook enacts which makes it a platform to avoid all together - Internet Single sign-on. Many websites now have made it "easier" to use your Facebook account for sign on and contacts and .....

So what do you do if the Facebook overlord decides to randomly dish out punishment on you for some silly reason, or even a valid one?

You lose all this access to all the other applications and believe me some of them cost money. this Facebook set of rules does not give the user a chance to even look to see where did  they use it for single sign on to remove this association to avoid financial penalty. But we agreed to their terms by signing on to Facebook.

Facebook is an unreliable platform for common use and especially for single sign on to internet applications and to do business, the days of Facebook are, in my own opinion over.

Facebook is NOT a means for private communications and it never sold itself as such. so don't air you dirty laundry in public for all to see keep private matters private.

Facebook is an unreliable partner for business due to their policies that destroy years of records instantly without recourse.

Facebook, is a great platform to be used as a town crier, never post anything private on it and never ever ever use it for single sign on since it is unreliable and unforgiving. They claim that this is to protect the "community" but there must be a recourse for people to reclaim some of their data.

In the end if it is free remember there is NOTHING FREE, there is a catch, and this is it, you signed off the rights to this data by storing it on Facebook and agreeing to their terms, they own it, they can do anything they want with it, they can cut you off and you have no recourse.

FINALLY - LIFE EXISTED BEFORE THE INTERNET, THE IPHONE, GOOGLE AND ALL THOSE AND IT WILL CONTINUE. Unplug, unplug, unplug, reduce your reliance on the internet and its websites especially those that promise you free stuff, stay away from Facebook and other FREE sites, and remember we are their slaves not their customers we can only stop them by not giving them power over us.

Man of the Year Award goes to the "Masked Protestor" !!

It appears nowadays that every time there is a peaceful protest anywhere in the world it ends with "masked protestors" in-sighting violence and the "police and armed forces" are always called in to restore order.

This is an alarming trend and tactic used by failed and falling governments the world over to quell anti government protests to force unarmed masses into further submission by corrupt regimes. Masked protestors gave back Egypt to the military, are being used to kill protests in Poland, Greece, Brazil, the UK, the USA and every where, whenever there is dissent and a peaceful demonstrations they always are turned upside down by the masked protestor.

Look at all pictures of protests the world over, police and security forces are all wearing and looking alike. They wear dark balaclavas or ski masks, helmets and you can't tell if it is in Cairo, Tehran, Tel Aviv or New York. They all came to the same conclusion their enemy is one and they are united against them. Their enemy is you and me it is JOHN Q PUBLIC.

The man of the year award goes to the government agent the masked protestor. He is well trained security operative that shows only at the right time to kill dissent in favor of corrupt, decrepit politicians. It doesn't matter where you are even China is trying to terrorize its population by staging a fake car crash in October then lying about it.

Every weak system must create an enemy but the corrupt minds of the intelligence communities does not realize that an over bloated system is just a time bomb waiting to explode. Systems that are filled with redundancies and inefficiencies tend to self destruct they just simply "fall under their own weight".

The evil minds of governments when their people protest against them nowadays is to unleash terror on their subjects. Peaceful protest suddenly turn into chaos with a few "masked protestors using fire bombs and weapons". I stopped believing any government and their propaganda the people are fed up with Military rule, dictatorship, corrupt politicians and the lack of hope in a better life. Egypt is turning into a freedom nightmare, Tunisia is following even Chile and Argentina. It appears that all governments got together to thwart peaceful protests by spreading more terror in the hearts of feeble, weak public.

The oppression of weak governments corrupt to the core, in absolute debt and forcing their people into more and more debt is becoming more belligerent but also beware that when the tide turns, and it will, payback will be hell. Freedom is the right of every human being, the right for a job, a secure life and at least hope for the future.

To all the security operative that hide under their masks you earned this award but your time is up. WE THE PEOPLE WANT OUR COUNTRIES BACK, someday soon your masks will be uncovered and the truth of your deceit will be told. Bask in anonymity for now.

Applause Applause Applause (Egyptian Revolution)

Egypt is going through yet another transformation on June 30th there was another orchestrated uprising against the then elected President Morsi (good or bad is not a subject of discussion, I never thought he will last more than one year and he didn't, I expected that someone would have popped him before then but he is still alive).

June the 30th movement, in my opinion, was a masterpiece of Intelligence work to kill democracy and get rid of a worthy adversary. People in Egypt were against Morsi even before he spoke, he was an unfit President since he had no support from Egypt's elite and the real movers and shakers. People of affluence and real power embarked on a systematic destruction of his authority in the Egyptian media, rumors and many other systematic forums.

Applause is due to both the Military and General Intelligence communities to mobilize and effectively kill the democratic transformation, also effectively eliminating the Muslim Brotherhood in one felt swoop. The beauty of this is the fact that the Egyptians are happy about this thinking that all what is going on is in their best interest. Can't see how, people are being held without trials, people are being murdered and freedoms are being seriously curtailed. Everyone who fought in January 25th is being arrested, tortured and killed and the media is labeling this as an Islamist attack supported by the largest benefactors of the Egyptian Government and Army (EU and USA).

What happened will be taught in colleges and privately in Langley as how to thwart a public rebellion, create an enemy (doesn't really matter who), dehumanize them, use the paid media to mobilize public opinion against this enemy then start the slaughter. Same thing done by GW for Iraq and many others before him, was executed by EL-Sissi in Egypt. People in Egypt are getting screwed and they don't know it yet. REST in PEACE all those who died for Jan 25, God have mercy on all of us if those are the people that are making the decisions on our behalf.

Tomorrow Friday 08/30/2013 there will be more demonstrations for democracy but the Egyptian diabolical media is already running rumors of serious unrest and militant attacks by torching businesses and arresting activists. Rumors are abound of militants in the demonstrations its either with us or against us kind of a thing, sound familiar GW? - Every reasonable voice is silenced in fear of being labeled a supporter of "TERROR" what a wonderful enemy to have, the sasquatch is a terrorist and so are ghosts under the bed and anything else including shadows and night owls.

God have mercy on all of us if those are the people that are making the decisions on our behalf.

The Secret Service, Obama, Weiner and the Supreme Court!

What? Have I gone crazy? why are all those in my title - well I observe and only comment if there is something I think is important so let us see:

When a regime is turning away from democracy to a totalitarian dictatorship the first things you see are the erosion of the courts system and the power of the Judiciary. For the first time ever in the USA, Obama publicly criticized the Supreme Court for attempting to rule on his Obama Care law. For his criticism I support the repeal of this law because Obama IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW or the Supreme Court. The USA is a country of law, checks and balances point blank.

When a government feels weak they hide under the guise of "security" and now you really can't talk back at public servants, challenge them or even stop them. Agents raid your home without any due process; GSA employees spend your money and brag about it; Secret Service personnel think they are invincible and hire prostitutes in Colombia among many other examples in our daily life. Even Anthony Wiener was busy showing off his wiener on Twitter not doing his JOB.

I want to remind here every Politician and Federal Employee that unfortunately it is a privilege to be of service to the US people and be paid by them to do your job (also your taxes pays for your salary). We will cooperate with you so you can do your job BUT THIS IS WHERE IT STOPS we also have our rights and freedoms that MUST be protected. Any transgression should be challenged and met with the system of checks and balances. The Supreme Court and our judiciary MUST remain independent and powerful otherwise welcome to the CCCP America.

Running from your fate!

This year is starting in an awkward way. I have come to realize the more you try to run away from your fate the closer it is running towards you. If for ONCE in your life you stood firm for something you really believed in then you made your whole life worthwhile .

Everyday I feel honored to have been touched by people who gave their lives and eyes to correct the injustices around us. Thank you Egyptians, Libyans, Syrians Tunisians, Yemenis. Thank you ANON the world now belongs to the young 20 some not old people like us remember the martyrs and the injured who gave a lot to correct the injustices of this world. Happy 25th Jan, but wait the revolution in Egypt is not done yet. يسقط يسقط حكم العسكر down down with military rule and SCAF. I will celebrate when Egypt is liberated soon very soon.

Happy New Year and Merry Christmas

The world has changed a great deal in the past year. It was a year of the average guy the "protester" really it was but let us recap where we are today:

Middle East still uncertain as ever many dictators are still operating like normal, killing people and arresting them as normal. Egypt's SCAF is killing people left and right, Syria's Assad is not yet done killing so is Yemen's Saleh they are all executing a policy of longevity trying to wear the protesters down and outlast them. I really hope it does not work.

Europe and North America
and the world the Occupy movement does not seem to gain any traction and it also appears that, although, they are not being killed, the same tactics are being played out - wear them down.

So far the only quasi successful revolutions are Tunisia and Libya they are on the mends. As for Egypt, the USA and all the world powers will NEVER let it go democratic since the USA sees a threat to the Jewish State (Israel) from a democratic Egypt. I am saddened by the turn of events and am hoping that the "good guys" win, the protesters, the revolutionaries and the people fighting for a better world. The next country in that region that will turn will surprise everyone - no one will see it coming but it will happen and soon I hope.

I have seen Anonymous do some of its magic to help out; to them goes my thanks for this year so this year goes to the anonymous ANON and the protesters here is to a better more successful year next year remember - YOU NEVER REALLY LOSE IF YOU KEEP TRYING A WINNER IS A PERSON WHO GOT UP CLEANED HIMSELF UP AND TRIED ONCE MORE UNTIL HE SUCCEEDED. This is just a fact of the world.

Egypt AGAIN, OWS and the way we are!

The Egyptian revolution is not over, they trusted the wrong people and gave them power. Now they tasted it and are hungry for more. Egypt I am sad to say will go into more turmoil and there will be blood before this is all over.
OWS - the movement is still in its infancy and it reminds me of the movmement of the 60s. Before this takes hold and a worldwide grip there will need to be an event that will mobilize everyone. Until that happens we just have to wait, all totalitarian governments, like the US, can't be as stupid as Mubarak, or can they?
